Badger Rock (formerly Indian Springs and Moorland-Rimrock) is a dynamic, community-centered neighborhood on Madison’s south side. At its heart is the Badger Rock Neighborhood Center, which connects to Badger Rock Middle School and Southside Elementary — Madison’s newest public elementary school. The center also houses Rooted, a local nonprofit that promotes sustainability and a sense of connection through urban agriculture, youth education, and community programming. The neighborhood features a diverse mix of housing options from mid-century ranches, to condos and apartments.
Residents enjoy the tree-lined streets and easy access to parks and bike paths, while locally owned spots like Delta Beer Lab and Finca Coffee serve as vibrant gathering places.
The neighborhood is also in close proximity to the Lewis Nine Springs E-Way, a natural corridor ideal for walking, biking, and enjoying wildlife. All of these factors add up to a neighborhood that truly values equity, the community, and the environment.
